Pramono said that 109 monorail poles had been dismantled and tidied up by the Jakarta Public Works Agency.

Monorail Pole Demolition must Be Accelerated, Pramono Says

"The 109 monorail poles, as of last Saturday, have all been cut and tidied up," said Pramono, Tuesday (2/24).

The demolition of the monorail poles is part of a pedestrian improvement project on Jalan HR Rasuna Said. The Jakarta Provincial Government will then begin construction of pedestrian walkways, gutters, and parks in the area.

Pramono targets completion of the pedestrian development work by June 2026.

Along with pedestrian improvements, the Governor also instructed Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) officers to enforce regulations on street vendors, both illegal and established, as well as online motorcycle taxi drivers who park their vehicles haphazardly in pedestrian areas. This enforcement effort will also be implemented on Jalan HR Rasuna Said.

"Not to park vehicles or sell carelessly in places that will be arranged by the Jakarta Government," he emphasized.
